I joined the club in 2019. Since then I’ve been taken in by the photo opportunities available in Scotland, particularly being drawn to water. Favourite places are, NW Scotland, Moray Coast and the varied coastline on both sides of the Forth, also dabble a bit in Motorsport

I was a Clinical Scientist, retired for 20 years, lived in Kirkcaldy for about 50 years and am mainly interested in wildlife photography.

I AM BRIAN

I have been a member of KPS since around 2014. I enjoy being part of such a great club. My main interests are studio and candid street photography.

My interests are landscape and nature photography as I’ve always loved geology, geography and the outdoors. There’s so much to see in Scotland and the UK.

Hi everyone I am Jaqueline, known to everyone who knows me as Jaque, for short. I am a writer who dabbles in paintings that I create from my photography. I can see the beauty in everything that I see.

As a young man I was always very keen on taking pictures, so I decided to buy a Pentax camera. For the next few years, I concentrated on seeing the pictures I wanted to take, then learn how to use the camera to achieve what was in my mind.
When the family came around, I did not have the time or the money to, so l retired the camera to the cupboard, that’s where the camera stayed until I was to take the hobby up again. To this end I purchased a Nikon D5000 digital camera where I had to start learning photography all over again. To help me improve I joined Kirkcaldy Photographic Society where my skills are still improving with the valuable help of the senior members of the club.
After Joining the club, I volunteered to become the secretary, a task I did for 7 interesting years.
I am currently one of the club trip organisers where I am assisted by many members who have a lot
more experience than I have, a job that I enjoy as I can watch the new members of the club
improve on their skills.

I’m from Edinburgh but lived down south for many years, returning to Scotland in autumn 2025. I love birds and wildlife generally. I took up photography in 2019, concentrating on nature but trying to improve at landscape. Always keen to learn!

Keith enjoys pushing boundaries and being experimental. He has done that since starting to process his own images in the 1970s. He now produces images primarily for his own enjoyment and if others like them too, so much the better. Sometimes a judge will comment favourably but that is not the expected outcome. Keith calls his style of imagery 'phARTography' - putting art into photography. Enjoy this small sample.

I joined the club in 2025 and am very much a beginner but hoping to improve with help and encouragement from this active and friendly club. I love photographing wildlife and landscapes.

I have been a member of KPS since 2014. I enjoy most types of photography especially wildlife. I have learned so much from the more experienced members of the club.

I've been into photography for around 10 years and my preferred genre is landscape, wildlife and street photography.

I enjoy the challenge of learning something new, and have been known to stay up all night with my camera pointing towards the stars.

Most of my images are taken in the Scottish highlands & islands whilst touring in my campervan. We're very fortunate to live in such a beautiful & photogenic part of the world.
